Why these two makers

We only stock brands we'd wear ourselves

Hundreds of hearing aids exist. We fit these two because together they cover almost everyone: one obsessed with how natural the world sounds, one obsessed with reliability and value.

WIDEX

Danish sound engineering since 1956

Widex built its name on one idea: hearing aids should sound like life, not like speakers. The Allure range processes sound with very low delay, so voices keep their natural timing and tone. If music, conversation and the character of sound matter most, this is your brand.

Strengths: natural sound, rich streaming, busy social lives.

REXTON

German engineering since 1955

Rexton makes dependable, hard-working hearing aids trusted by veterans' services worldwide. Reach keeps speech in focus in lively rooms, and the range starts at a price that makes premium hearing care genuinely affordable.

Strengths: everyday toughness, simple handling, value.

Eight quick questions, two closest matches

Four questions about your hearing, four about your life. You get the two models that best fit your answers. It's a guide to help you compare, not a prescription: only your assessment can confirm what suits your hearing.

About your life

5. How visible can your hearing aids be?

6. Do you use hearing loops: church, theatre, some banks?

7. What matters most in how they sound?

Send your enquiry

Tell us how to reach you. Submitting an enquiry is not an order or commitment; it starts a conversation and, if you'd like, books your assessment.

By submitting this form, you are asking Gentle Ear Care (Ear Health Solutions Limited) to use your details to respond to this enquiry and, if appropriate, arrange a hearing assessment. Submitting an enquiry is not an order or commitment. See our Privacy Notice.

Found the same package cheaper? We'll match it.

Compare our pair prices with any qualifying UK provider. If you find a lower total price for the same new, professionally fitted like-for-like package, we'll match it, and in some cases we may go further with a discretionary reduction.

Like-for-like means the same model and form factor, number of hearing aids, charger and accessories, assessment and fitting, warranty, aftercare, VAT and all compulsory charges. A current written quote is required.
Read the full price-match terms

What "like-for-like" means. We compare complete packages, not device-only prices: the same brand, model and form factor; new, authorised UK stock (not used, refurbished, ex-demonstration, auction, private-sale or grey-import); the same number of hearing aids; the same charger, accessories and receiver configuration; the same assessment, fitting and home or clinic arrangement; the same warranty and aftercare; and the full consumer price including VAT, delivery, visit fees and every compulsory charge.

Who counts as a qualifying provider. A UK-based hearing-care provider trading openly to consumers, where the offer is genuinely available now: not a closed-group, staff-only, expired or error price.

What we need from you. A current written quote, or a publicly accessible offer we can verify.

What does not qualify. Offers that fail any like-for-like condition; NHS provision (free at the point of use, so not a comparable private package); bundled cashback or voucher schemes whose value depends on later conditions; and pricing errors the competitor corrects when asked. These exclusions exist to keep comparisons honest; we do not reject qualifying claims for other reasons.

Anything else. A price-match request is not an order, reservation or commitment to purchase. Hearing aids are supplied only after an individual assessment and recommendation. This promise is offered by Ear Health Solutions Limited and does not affect your statutory rights.

What happens next

From enquiry to fitting

  1. You send an enquiry. It is not an order or a commitment to buy.
  2. We call you back. We talk through your hearing and check coverage in your area.
  3. A professional assessment at home. Nothing is supplied without one.
  4. Fitting and follow-up. Tuned to your ears, with ongoing aftercare.

FAQs

Questions people actually ask

Straight answers, including the one about finding the cheapest hearing aids in the UK.

How much do hearing aids cost in the UK?

Our prices run from £997 per pair for the Rexton Reach R-Li 20 to £2,700 per pair for the Widex Allure 440. Every figure is the total for a fitted package: assessment, both aids, charger, fitting and aftercare, VAT included.

How do I find the cheapest private hearing aids in the UK?

Start with the NHS: hearing aids there are free, and for many people they are the right choice. Private prices are for a complete fitted package, which is why a device-only price online is not always comparable. Compare total like-for-like package prices, and if you find one lower than ours, we'll match it under our published terms.

Widex or Rexton: which is better?

Neither is "better"; they suit different people. Widex Allure leads on natural sound and streaming. Rexton Reach leads on value, toughness and simple handling. The eight questions above show your two closest matches, and your assessment settles it.

Is there a hearing aid nobody can see?

The Rexton Reach Ionix sits in the ear canal rather than behind the ear, so from the side there is very little to see. Whether it suits you depends on your ear shape and hearing loss, which is exactly what the home assessment checks.

Which models work with hearing loops?

From our range, the Rexton Reach R-Li T 40 and the Widex Allure 330 support hearing loop (telecoil) systems used in churches, theatres and some banks. If loops matter to you, say so in your enquiry and we'll plan around it.

Is the price per ear or per pair?

Per pair. Every price on this page is the total for two hearing aids and the full package, including VAT.

Do you come to my home?

Yes. We fit at home across Surrey and the surrounding areas. Tell us your postcode when you enquire and we'll confirm coverage.
